Centre for Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, is organizing a short-term course on the theme “Geochronology: challenges and possibilities” from February 2-7, 2015. This programme is funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India. The course will focus on various methods of geochronology, sample selection, data-processing, challenges, and their possible applications to various aspects of Earth Sciences. It is open to teachers and researchers who deal with geochronology, from Institutes, University Colleges/Departments and Engineering Colleges. There is no fee for registration. All participants will be paid travel expenses as per admissible norms. In addition, registration kit, course material, working lunch etc. will be provided to the participants. Outstation participants would be provided free on campus accommodation.

Application in the prescribed format should reach the Institute on or before January 10, 2015.
